Killed when the plane he was on went down off the coast of New Guniea
March 6th 1944. Buried with other members of this flight at Jefferson
Barracks National Cemerty, Feb.1950, in a mass grave. Son of Carrie
Elizabeth Baker Laughery and Father to Larry Gene Laughery Sr.

John Loughrey
(currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio) served as a bombardier on a B-17
Flying Fortress during the war. Met and married Mira Buck of Grassrange,
Montana (she was serving as a nurse) during the war. They raised six
children in Cincinnati and are both retired.

Group Awarded Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart Missing in
action while participating in aerial support over Korea, later presumed
dead.

Loughrey
served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as
a Medical Technician. He was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in
San Antonio where he was released as a contientious objector in April
1972 for moral and ethical objections to the war effort. He lives in
north Georgia with his wife and three children.
